all about the wicks

Wood wicks may seem intimidating but once you get to know them, you’ll love the experience they bring.

Wood Wicks burn cleaner

You know that “mushrooming” that happens when you didn’t trim your cotton wick and all the soot and debris collect at the end of your wick and sometimes it explodes just a little? And all the black specks land all over your candle and home? You won’t get that with a wood wick. They burn really well.

Trim your wick between 3/16 of an inch to 1.4 inches when the candle is at room temperature. Trim it again before your next burn (again at room temperature) making sure you cut off any charred wood. This way your flame will be at the right height for your candle and you can fully enjoy the experience.

Wood wicks burn slower and longer than cotton wicks

This means a wood wick candle will last longer than a cotton wick candle of the same size. Who doesn’t want beautiful things to last longer?

Wood wicks give off a better scent throw

Not only do they last longer, they can make the scent work better giving you a high quality experience!

Wood wicks crackle

It’s a whole vibe. When lit, the wood wick makes a soothing crackle sound adding to a calm ambience in a room.

Wood wicks have a horizontal, flat flame

Speaking of ambience, the flame itself has a different feel than cotton wicks. It’s an updated look and feel for a more modern experience.

Wood wicks are eco friendly

We use wood wicks that are made from cherry wood, sourced and manufactured from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-Certified Mills. So you can fully enjoy your experience.
